Wounded Warrior Project Grants

Description:

There are grants starting at $5,000 for USA non-profit organizations to honor and empower wounded veterans and service members. Funds are intended for programs that provide services to veterans and service members who incurred a physical or mental injury, illness, or wound, co-incident to their military service on or after September 11, 2001, and their families.Applicants must provide programs and services at no cost to warrior, family, or constituents.Grant monies may also be used for operating costs, organizational overhead, or other capital as long as there is a clear translation of how the money will support wounded veterans and their family members.

Not funded:
-State or federal programs
-Debt reduction
-Annual appeals and fundraising events
-Medical or academic research
-Think tanks
-Any activities that include alcohol
-Endowments
-Any activities of a sexual, political, religious nature, or that involve alcohol or tobacco use

Term of Contract:

Funding is generally limited to a one-year program cycle, but WWP may consider two-year funding cycles in limited instances.

Nonprofits having a 501(c)(3) status with the IRS

-Full Grant Application must be to WWP at grants@woundedwarriorproject.org
-Submission of a full grant application is by invitation only after WWP’s review of the initial LOI.
