Activities: Attended Committee, the Board Meeting and Airport Advisory Committee Meetings. Conducted outreach to local churches and community leaders regarding various county issues. Began the process to organize the 3rd Annual Health and Wellness Fair. Responded to multiple calls and emails regarding the county airport’s feasibility study, Common Core, home foreclosures, voting rights information, the upcoming Village elections, the energy tax, affordable healthcare, grant opportunities for local school districts, college scholarships, the need for youth programs and jail overcrowding.

Votes: Voted against the issuance of $1,818,000 in bonds for the cost of the reconstruction of county facilities. I agree some work needs to be done but I don’t agree with the cost of the repairs. This is a very expensive project. I voted in favor of a resolution that will deny the state the ability to use the county seal on any documentation related to the enforcement or promotion of the New York SAFE Act although I think it is a little redundant. The County Executive already issued an executive order regarding this and if anyone used the seal, it would be considered a trademark infringement.

Bills: Co-sponsoring a bill banning the use of brine on Dutchess County roads.
