Activities: Attended July’s Legislative Board Meeting. Reviewed the Solid Waste Annual Summary and the Dutchess County Economic Development Corporation Quarterly Report. Responded to various calls and emails regarding delays in the county judicial system, jail expansion and the jail pods; the Solid Waste Annual Summary; county expenditures; financial education for the local community; funding for youth programs; housing for veterans; and immigration issues. Met with a constituent regarding a charity complaint. Handled various matters regarding the Pavillion Condominium and the 3rd Annual Health and Wellness Fair. Initiated a call with Bob Balkind of DC DPW and Supervisor Gutzler regarding the public information meeting and eminent domain public hearing for the rehabilitation and intersection improvements of Old Hopewell Road, US Route 9 to All Angels Road.

Votes: Voted in favor of the adoption of the Dutchess Community College Budget since there are no increases in tuition this year. Voted in favor of a grant agreement with the Federal Aviation Admin. (FAA) and the NYS Dept. of Transportation (NYSDOT) for the rehabilitation and construction of three taxiways; the cost to the county is 5% of $970K, which is the total cost of the project. Voted in favor of a local law providing for the adoption of Dutchess County Solid Waste Materials Management and Licensing Rules and Regulations even though an amendment I supported to add food composting was rejected.

Letters: Wrote a letter to the editor thanking everyone for a successful health fair.
